Hey girl, tell me where you been? I've been losing my mind. I've been going thin. When she looks me up and down and says that nothing's changed, I can hear a voice screaming out inside my brain “There's something wrong”. I just can't put my finger on what is. Hey Doc, I'm not feeling well. I've had a bad back and it's a living hell. He looks me up and down says, "How old are you son?" When I looked into his eyes I could tell that there was something wrong, I just can't put my finger on what it is. I went to a temple. I was feeling odd. So I put my hands together and I prayed to God for love and money, but it didn't help that much and kneeling at the altar made my legs go numb. There's something wrong, I just can't put my finger on what it is. You can dwell on your fears and your porcelain tears. Keep them out of my hair ‘cause they're all in your head. I took a stroll on a summer's day but I couldn't shake this feeling. It wouldn't go away. Heard a little birdie singing in the tree. Is he trying to tell me something? Is he telling me there's something wrong? I just can't put my finger on what it is.

28 Years 03:38
It's been 28 years, it's been 28 years and I'm full of existential fears. Is that normal for my age? I've been to far-off lands. I thought I'd have some kind of plan by now, but I've arrived in no mans land. It's pretty dark down here and there ain't much light. She's never gonna give up without a fight. No she's never gonna give up. We're always staring down the track. Baby where's the point in that? You never know what's around the corner. ‘Cause while we're jogging on the spot the clock is going tick tock, we're missing what's important. It's been 28 years, it's been 28 years and it’s clear that things don't look to good when you've started reading self-help books. I've been to far-off lands. I thought I'd have some kind of plan by now, but my head's still in the clouds, and will I ever want to come back down? Do you know how old the earth is? It's been around since your mum gave birth in fits of screams and destruction. Was it worth it?

The sun's gone down. Your secret's out. You’re chasing through the fields to a distant light, but I'll never let your hand go. No I'll never let your hand go. I'll lick your wounds from head to toe. If you feel it too, then let it show, but I'll never let your hand go, no I'll never let your hand go. We'll take it step by step, and move one at a time. ‘Cause this paper's blank and you can draw what you like. And I'm gonna make things better. Yeah I'm gonna make things better. You can bet your bottom dollar that I'm gonna make things better. Pick up your ears. Can you hear my voice? Cause I'm calling out your name from a lonely place, but I'll never let your hand go, no I'll never let your hand go. I'll stick with you through thick and thin, if your roof falls down then I'll invite you in, but I'll never let your hand go. No I'll never let your hand go.

Yuriko, Yuriko, I know you're feeling pretty low now because your boyfriend's run away to Tokyo to be a skateboard pro. If he was a little younger, he might have stood a chance there, but as it is, he's more likely to fall on the tracks. Would it make you happy or sad to hear that he's living in Yoyogi Park? Would it make you smile or scream, to hear that he's failed to conquer his dream? Yuriko, Yuriko, I know you've had a big blow now because your fiance's run away and all he's left behind are bills to pay. If you were a little younger, you might have well chased after but as it is your more likely to dwell on the past. Yuriko, if you were a little younger...

Talk to me. I'll set the butterflies in your stomach free and when the clouds have passed, I'm gonna drench you in the sun. Take a train with me. We'll leave the city lights and head for the sea. And when the rain clouds have passed we’re gonna rest there in the sun. Moving in the dark, won't you see so far to chance upon a star? Sail with me. We'll take a sailboat across the deep blue sea. And when the storm clouds have passed I'm gonna drench you in the sun. Moving in the dark won't you see so far to chance upon a star?
